It is with very much regret that the Ruthin Farmers’ Auction is unable to stage a live Clwyd Welsh Pony & Cob Sale this year due to the restraints imposed in connection with COVID. This decision was not taken lightly but after lengthy discussions with the Trading Standards officials, who clearly insist on compliance with all the COVID guidelines, which the auction staff would not be able to guarantee. Non-compliance would have serious implications for the Auction’s other mainstream sales including Pedigree Sheep Sales.
