Very well attended sale, creating a lovely atmosphere.

Lots of buyers around the ring, with many going home empty handed.

A very good trade throughout, with exceptional trade on the best.

Top price was E, DM, & A Roberts' lovely Section D mare - Erdyl Nel Gwyn (pictured) - selling for £1700.

*Clwyd WPCA Sale Saturday, 13th May 2023 - Sale Report*


 

A very successful spring sale was held with the demand from a large crowd exceeding supply and a lovely atmosphere was experienced throughout the day. The star of the Clwyd sale was the beautiful roan 3yr old Section A filly, shown in the main ring with musical accompaniment, 'Arad Sweet Caroline' from Vicky Williams, reaching £1,800 and sold to a buyer in South Wales. The demand throughout for all classes was exceptional.

Section A 3 year old filly 'Arad Sweet Caroline' by Tafarnaubach Sianco and out of homebred Arad Charm from Vicky Williams, Arad Stud realising £1,800 (pictured above)

Section A Yearling Filly 'Garnelog Prydferth' by Betws Lewis out of Garnelog Angel by Caermynydd Sir Huw from A & M Jones, Garnelog Stud realising £900. 

Section A 4 year old mare 'Rhydyfelin Sweet Alabama' by Thistledown Lord of the Flies and out of Rhydyfelin Sophiah from W LI Lewis, Rhydyfelin Stud realising £950. 

Section A Yearling Colt, a palomino 'Rianwyn Fancyman' by Carylmai Fancyman out of Hope Melissa by Rookery Stardust from Eirian Williams, Rianwyn Stud realising £420. 

Section B Yearling Colt 'Alwen Del Boy' by Rhoson Adonis out of Alwen Cariad from T Wynne, Alwen Stud realising £420. 

Welsh Part Bred 'Telynau Mojito' by Telynau Just William from Huw Gruffydd, Caereini Stud realising £500. 

94% of the forward entries were sold.

*Clwyd WPCA 33rd Autumn Sale - Saturday, 1st October 2022* 

One of the biggest crowds ever ensured that there was a lovely atmosphere for the return of our annual autumn sale. As always, quality was in demand, with lots of clients looking to buy, resulting in one of the best clearance percentages to date.

Two ridden mares topped the sale - W. Sallis' 11 year old Section A Ysselvliedt Engracia, and G. Roberts' 16 year old Section D Malnor Maggie May - both achieving £2400.

A busy sale, with quality in great demand. Topping the sale at £2900 was lot 77 - Tamevalley Ballerina, sold by Mrs V M Morris.

Lot 58 - Migneint Rhosyn Y Mynydd, from Mr & Mrs I H Roberts, achieved £2700.
